COLUMBIA, S.C. — The broken bearing atop South Carolina’s Capitol flag pole spun wildly, tangling the national and state symbols that fly above. Neither flag could be raised or lowered. Enter Southern Crane, which came to the rescue at the Columbia Capitol building recently when Capitol officials realized the flags atop the 186-foot pole could not be moved.
Southern Industrial Teams with Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association to Provide Student Scholarships

FAIRFAX, Va. and RALEIGH, N.C. — The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) in cooperation with Southern Industrial Constructors today announced the company’s pledge of $15,000 in scholarship funds to the SC&R Foundation.
The nonprofit supports the crane, rigging, millwright and transportation industries by conducting research and by providing education and scholarships to students preparing for careers related to transportation or construction management.
