Wilmington Bulk Trans-Shipment Facility
Wilmington, North Carolina
The trans-shipment facility project in North Carolina included turnkey mechanical and electrical erection and installation of a marine ship unloading system. This also included all the conveyors of a bulk grain and other commodities receiving and storage facility at the North Carolina State Ports Authority. The semi-circular facility is six stories tall and consisted of five concrete and galvanized steel structure storage buildings. It occupies just less than three acres of land and is capable of holding up to 62,500 tons of bulk wheat, grain, soy meal, corn, salt, limestone, and various other materials. The scope of work also included the installation of transfer towers that supply grain to the Circ-A-Bin storage bins.
