Southern Industrial performed structural, mechanical, and electrical work on this project. This included the purchase and fabrication of 550 tons of prefabricated structural steel box modules, rubber lined pipe, rubber lined sumps, and seven unlined tanks.
This project included the erection of 36 modules to form a 4-story concentrator structure. This also included the installation of ten spiral frames, owner furnished pumps, cyclones, launders, and spirals; the supply and installation of cable ray, conduit, and cable; the installation of owner furnished MCC room and instruments; the supply and installation of fire protection system, including fire-water pump house, feed tank, ring main and deluge sprinkler system.
The work was performed on an extremely fast track schedule. It was a total of three months from the setting of the first module to start up and commissioning.
